After graduation from Paschal, I signed up for a three year tour with the U. S. Army.  I was anticipating a year in Europe.  But, that wasn’t in the army’s plans.  I was assigned to the air defense school in El Paso.  I spent the first year as a student learning electronics.  Then the army assigned me to the instructor staff at the air defense school.   So, I spent my three year tour in El Paso … [Read more...]

Shortly after graduating from good ole’ PHS, I married my high school sweetheart, L. E. Robinson (class of ’54) More of you will remember him than me. I was working at Texas Electric Service Co. and L. E. was a summer hire at General Dynamics, intending to return to T.C.U. in the fall. But as luck would have it, I was pregnant before the summer was over and he stayed on at G.D. for the next 36 … [Read more...]

What a great place!!---both this website and Paschal HS.  I have fond memories of PHS and Ft Worth.  After having been gone from FW since '56, I enjoy returning and have even considered returning permanently.  It was a great place to grow up -- especially in the '50s.  It's wonderful to have an opportunity to find out about classmates--both remembered and forgotten over the years. After … [Read more...]

Ann Lindsay Chambers

Ann Lindsay Chambers (formerly Annie Ruth) This is definitely the past -- after graduation, I worked at Harris Hospital where the most expensive room was a corner one -- $20.00 per day! I went to UTA when it was Arlington State College and it was a tiny place then, but it meant that we got to do all the jobs on the newspaper as journalism students. Next I went to the University of … [Read more...]

It seems a long time since I was in touch, and maybe that's because it has been a long time.  I continued to sing after graduation from Paschal in "56.  My interest turned to a career in math, so I attended TCU.  Then one month during the fall I went to visit an aunt in Alpine, Texas.  I just had to stay there around the cool air and mountains.  I continued to study at Sul Ross State.  Enter … [Read more...]
