Doc Benson

February 25, 2015 By admin

Doc Benson: She is one of my favorite teachers. It would take too long to write about every one of the teachers that made a huge difference in my life so I will just write about “the” one. In the 10th grade I was in her chemistry class. In the 1st 6 weeks I scored an 90 on a test and she gave me a C. I complained loudly saying it wasn’t fair. She said I was capable of doing much better work and until I did she would downgrade me accordingly. I took that to heart and after that encounter I worked harder. My grade point average and my approach to learning was forever changed for the better by Doc Benson telling me nicely, but firmly, that I could and should do better.
